Implant Capture
This is a system designed for hospitals with total joint programs and complex ceiling prices.
It collects individual hip and knee component data and calculates ceiling prices by procedure and
manufacturer if such a program has been established. A key part of the system is the database of
44,000+ hip and knee implant components and current prices. It also identifies
lost and wasted components,
and generates a voucher for entry into a hospitals patient accounting system and a purchase authorization
to allow payment to a vendor for hip and knee implant components. It creates a file of implant components
for entry into Total Joint Metrics.
Key Benefits
-Calculation of ceiling prices for hip and knee implant components
-Identification of wasted hip and knee implant components
-Improved charging for hip/knees
-Automatic collection and validation of part specific implant information.

Revision Metrics
Revision Metrics is a system available to hospitals with long-term data collection needs for their
Total Joint program. It creates a database of individual patients, and records their total joint surgery
by specific joint (left hip, right hip, left knee, right knee), for longitudinal analysis of joint revision
surgery.
Sample Reports
Spinal Metrics
, the most recent addition to software offerings, is targeted for limited release during the
first quarter of 2000. It will track individual spinal implant components, including barriers, bone graft and
bone substitutes, as well as create a longitudinal tracking mechanism to monitor the outcomes of patient care.
