Ortho Films: Myth and Reality Premiere:
Performance Network Theatre "Ortho Films: Myth and Reality": The most recent film from RobStan Visuals was premiered in February 2005. Professor Dickson Charles reviews the phenomenon of orthopedic films through the film history. Clips of representative films from different genres are shown including "Mobility Medics", "Implant America", "Fistful of Implant", "The Wrong Joint", and "The Explantor". Reaction from various luminaries and "ortho film fans" attest to the growing popularity of orthopedic films. A tongue-in-cheek retrospective of the ortho films of the last century. Rather than produce full-length films, RobStan Visuals compiled a series of trailers of fictitious movies about orthopedics and created a "mythology" of ortho films discussed by a professor of film.
